Fruition...

About a year and a half ago, I decided to make Intuitive Woman Wellness my name. I knew that being intuitive was not a gift, but a defined skill. I started on my healing journey years ago when I got out of the Navy and started my path to becoming a midwife. All of the years of serving other people, women in particular, defined my skill set and allowed me to practice. I learned so many things from becoming a midwife. Shortly before I was to sit for my midwifery exam and become "official" I decided, for many reasons, not to pursue a full blown practice at that time. There were so many things happening in my life. Things that needed attention and I knew that I could not fix "me" when so much time was spent fixing and being available for others. We all do things differently. We all approach life, differently. But for the first time in my own life....I was ready to heal and discover me.

One of the main things that kicked off Intuitive Woman Wellness was a few "divine" downloads, as I call them. I really have been intuitive all of my life. I grew up in a bipolar household, my father, was a rapid cycling bipolar. My mother held it all together.  I knew intuitively when things were going to get bad. My great-grandmother (I called her MeMe) was also intuitive and psychic and loved the esoteric arts. We connected on a soul level together. I spent time at my grandparent's house which happened to be demon ridden 80% of the time. I had to learn how to protect myself while surviving in that environment. All of those experiences, and there were many, made me who I am today. My intuition saved my life twice that I remember. I'd say that up until my mid-30's, my primary gift was prophetic dreams. I still have prophetic dreams, but now, my other gifts of clairvoyance and clairsentience have stepped up the game. I use to giving readings with tarot cards...and I still occasionally do, but now I can also give them without. So, I'd say that my intuition has really developed. I'll never forget sitting in the car with my preceptor and saying, "I have to explore this." It was a life defining moment for me. I'm sure she thought I was crazy, but she also knew I was serious. It was shortly after that statement that I left midwifery to find myself....to heal myself....to finish what I had started.

Now, I don't believe that you will ever completely "finish" healing your life or discovering things about yourself. But, I do believe that these steps have to come to a certain point in order to complete your tasks in life. For me, Intuitive Woman Wellness took on a broader meaning than just delivering babies, although that is a HUGE part of who I am :) It took on the meaning of empowering women to be who they are. To encouraging them to "stand up" for themselves. To put an end to energetic cording and responsibility. Intuitive Woman Wellness is seeking to show women, too, how to change their life but changing their outlook, diets, activities, perception and responsibility to the world. Intuitive Woman Wellness is all about me and it's all about you. It's about finding that voice inside that tells you what you need to know. It's about clearing out the clutter. It's about getting quiet and getting inside of yourself. Because truly, only you have the answers in your heart. Your soul knows. But you can't listen and speak at the same time. So, which will it be shining star? You are the author of your book. You are the director in your life. You and God (or the Universe) work out your contract together. You've come here to learn lessons, to make mistakes, to be healed, and to heal.

If you are in a position in your life where something is so draining on you that you can't focus on yourself at all, you must either find a way to tone it down, or let it go. I have found over and over that women who keep themselves so very busy are 9 times out of 10 doing so because of avoidance. If you never make time for yourself, if you are always a slave to someone or something else, you never have to deal with the underlying issues of  "you." Strive to seek out what's important. Strive to see what needs to be changed to better yourself. Where do you want to be? How can you get there? Who can you trust? What things in your life can you incorporate to assist you? Through the years, I've gotten tired of hearing my own excuses. My mouth filter has gone all to hell and my bullshit radar is pretty defined if I must say so myself. This didn't happen overnight...but a steady course to healing. I hope that through these posts, I can encourage any reader out there to make a change. Make a switch to something that is working for YOU! And, do it soon, because life doesn't wait for anyone.

Love,
Indigo
